The Rain By Jianice Shine Yeepimo

In the threatening darkness of the sky;
As of a disappointed lover's sigh;
Comes the Rain.
In the gentle touch of water from above,
As of the memory of unrequited love;
Comes the Rain.
In the soft quickening of its patter;
As of the remembrance of the latter;
Comes the Rain.
In the shower from an open sky;
As of blessings from on high;
Comes the rain.

In the torrent of angel's tears,
As of the washing of past fears;
Comes the Rain.
In the quiet aftermath taken whole;
As of the baptism of one's soul;
Came The Rain.

The Joy of Home Cooking

Add ingredients in,
Make sure the receipt is fair,
Put on a happy chin,
Mix, press, and stir,
Have two sheets of foil
and lay them flat on the pan,
Wait until the water begins to boil,
then set your oven in proper position,
cook your noodle soup
while have your cookies baked then,
Clean your oven
and enjoy your favorite cooking.

Ecstasies By Margaret B. Henion

Oh, to be transported
out of one's self
into the souls
of the masters,
where all of life
and death
are visions
of beautiful music.
No beginning,
No end,
Only everlasting,
Glorious release!

Chasing The Rainbow Poetry Forms

Hyde Park Thursday Poets Rally Week 74 (October 4 -October 10)

II: Quintet

Such joy to build a fire of love within,
To burst to smoke, to touch the inner core,
Not thinking of gain or hunger of spring rain,
and comprehension adds coal to existing charmin,
What unsinkable rages of being in Satan's Law.

III. Couplet

To whom it cares, let's respect our differences,
For if we don't, sameness ruins wholesome choices.
